Riverview first hosted a Florida Marching Band Championships regional in 2013 under the original identity as the Tampa Bay Fall Music Games. In 2017 the regional fell on Veterans Day, November 11, which led to the re-theming of the event as a day designed to honor the men and women who have served our country’s armed forces—and The March was born. The March was hosted through 2021 as the event continued on Veterans Day weekend.

For the 2022 season the event will be held on Saturday, October 22 and will return to its roots as the Tampa Bay Fall Music Games.
